Steven worked with Rachel, a paraprofessional, and me to complete these storyboards. Steven drew the pictures and initially wrote a short sentence describing the action. Rachel and I switched to having Steven draw the picture then orally explain what was happening in the scene so we could write it down. This expedited the process and encouraged verbal interaction between Steven, Rachel, and myself.

It is interesting to note the connected lines that Steven drew to link the frames in his storyboards, as if the action is visually represented as a continuity along the page. While the characters remain in the frame, this connecting line traverses the width of the page and provides a cue of narrative continuity for the viewer.

We used the storyboard as a guide for the animation of each scene.
