Emergency and Announcement Listserv Information

In an effort to increase the reliability of our communication within our community, we have instituted an Emergency and a new Announcement Email Listservs for West Mercer.

Announcement Listserv

This listserv will will be used for PTA and District informational announcements. Note that in an effort to reduce costs and paper usage, printed announcements and paper copies of newsletters will no longer be distributed – if you want to stay in-the-know, you should subscribe to the Announcement listserv!

We are transitioning systems (the new system is called "Constant Contact") so the following will be helpful information.

• Email Distribution Method:  Parent email addresses from the Skyward system will be used as the initital distribution list for Constant Contact communication. 
• Deleting an email from the listserv:  Please use the UNSUBSCRIBE feature in these communications
• To subscribe with a different email address: Click on this link: Join our mailing list

Emergency Listserv

The Emergency listserv is housed by an outside organization and is tied directly to the school closure and late start media broadcast system. We will use this system to broadcast emergency or safety related messages.

To activate your account, please go to www.schoolreport.org and follow the instruction to subscribe. You will be asked to confirm your email through a link in a message to your email account. When you have added your email account, select the Add a School Link and and a Wizard will pop up. Step through the Wizard, selecting: a Member District, Mercer Island School District, West Mercer Elementary, and BOTH Emergency and Informational Message, and then Finish. You can add additional buildings for other children in your family. By subscribing to a building, you will receive both Mercer Island School District messages as well as building specific messages.

Schoolreport.org's email addresses are being totally reset this summer. If you were a subscriber in the past, you should revieve an email mid August on how to resubscribe.
