School Lunch

Hot lunches are served daily. The cost of a school lunch is $3.00, which includes milk. Students may purchase milk or juice for 50 cents per half pint.

As a convenience to parents, the Mercer Island School District now provides parents an easy way to add money to their child’s food service account. Online payments can be made into food service accounts through the Skyward Family Access parent portal they currently use. We have contracted with RevTrak, a national credit card payment processor, to provide a secure site for making payments.

To make online payments:

• Visit our district website: http://www.misd.k12.wa.us
• Click on the “Parents & Families” tab and scroll down to Skyward Family Access
• Log in to Skyward Family Access (you will need your Login and Password)
• Use your MasterCard or VISA (Debit or Credit Card) – card number & expiration date required

Payments made through Skyward Family Access will immediately be posted to the student’s food service account. Parents will be charged a small fee for the convenience of making an online payment. Please visit the Mercer Island School District website for future updates.

It is each student’s responsibility to have a lunch from home, or the appropriate money for lunch. Anyone who does not will be offered a sandwich and milk 3 times a year per student. We do not loan money for lunch. If your student is going to be late, please order ahead by phone through the main office.

Free and Reduced Lunches are available to children of families who qualify. We encourage all families who might qualify to submit an application, as the district qualifies for extra funds according to identified numbers of families qualifying for free or reduced lunches.
