* The Fifth Grade Operetta Horton Hears a Who will be performed Thursday, February 11 at 2 and 7 PM.
* In observance of Presidents' Day, there will be no school on February 15-16.
* Parents of 4th graders are invited to an "Open House" to watch their child work with our artist-in-residence as they learn a "Bollywood" dance. This is not a performance, but rather a chance for parents to see what their students have been doing in PE lately. Attendees will learn a little bit about Bhangra dance in combination with Bollywood style dance, see what your child's been learning in PE, and have an opportunity to join in on the high energy dance.

* Announcement Listserv: This listserv will post the monthly Lion's Pride and weekly Lion's Ledger newsletters and will be used for other PTA and District informational announcements. You can subscribe email addresses by sending a totally blank email to: join-misdlr_list@lists.psesd.org. No registration information or password is required! Be sure that everyone in your family who wants to get school information subscribes their email address to the Announcement listserv (mom, dad, grandparents, nanny, etc.) And, please make sure that your email settings allow email from this address as messages sent from a listserver and may be considered junk in your email program.
Emergency Listserv: The Emergency listserv is housed by an outside organization and is tied directly to the school closure and late start media broadcast system. We will use this system to broadcastemergency or safety related messages. To activate your account, please go to www.schoolreport.org and follow the instruction to subscribe. When you have added your email account, select the Add a School Link and a wizard will pop up. Step through the wizard selecting: a Member District, Mercer Island School District, Lakeridge Elementary, and BOTH Emergency and Informational Message, and then Finish. You can add additional buildings for other children in your family. By subscribing to a building, you will receive both Mercer Island School District messages as well as building specific messages.
