Special News and Information

Important MIHS Parking Changes
As of Feb. 7, all parking spaces at MIHS are assigned by number to staff members and students. With the construction of new spaces in our music wing, we have lost a number of spaces available in the back teacher lot. Consequently, parking at the high school is very limited. If you are a visitor, please only park in one of the 11 unnumbered "Visitor" spots. All spots with a number have been assigned and you are likely to be blocked in if you take someone's spot. We are working diligently to find solutions that will work for everyone and we appreciate your flexibility during construction. Click here for more information.

Call for Presenters at the 2012 Mercer Island High School Career Symposium

MIHS is requesting presenters to talk to small groups of students about their professional careers. The purposes of the symposium are to:
1) The help students think about their academic and extra-curricular choices as they relate to their personal interests, passions and goals.
2) Allow students to become familiar with job opportunities and potential local employers.
3) Allow professionals to market their "non-routine" careers to potential future employees.

The symposium will be held at Mercer Island High School on May 21st from 8am-10am. Interested speakers should click here to register.

Questions can be directed to Jean Field at 206-236-3349 or jean_field@misd.wednet.edu
