MISD Special Education Preschool Services

The Mercer Island School District offers special education services to preschool children three to five-years of age. The services are designed to provide support to children with a documented disability who reside in the Mercer Island School District attendance area. Upon referral, the preschool team will determine if screening or further evaluation is necessary. Services are provided for students that qualify.

Who is eligible: Eligibility is determined by meeting qualifying criteria in at least one of the following areas: communication, cognition, social-emotional, adaptive, and/or motor.

Snow closure make-up days: The 2011-2012 Student Calendar identifies the three (3) make-up days that will be used this spring due to the closure of school on January 18, 19 and 20. More info...
