Congratulations to National Merit Semifinalists, Commended Scholars and National Hispanic Award recipients
Six Mercer Island High School students have been named National Merit Semifinalists, nineteen are Commended Scholars and one is the recipient of the National Hispanic Award. The students earned this recognition on the basis of their PSAT scores, as well as consistently very high academic standing throughout their three years of high school.

National Hispanic Program Award Recipient:
The next step in the competition is the application process for the National Merit Scholarship awards offered next spring to over 8,400 students nationwide. About 90 percent of these semifinalists are expected to become finalists and half of these will win the award. The winners will be announced between April and July. Congratulations and best of luck to all of these hard-working students and their families.
